Neither epistemological concept of God's Image is or has become irrelevant as both are tangible and effectually parts of actualized reality, and function accordingly within Christianity. So one might ask what is the difference between the two distinct concepts of God's Image within Christianity. Does it make the question of Gender distinction a moot point as both men and women Christians are by faith technically both image bearer's of God at the time one receives the Lord Jesus Christ.

The answer to this is no, not a moot point, because gender distinction is a pertinent part of Christianity in its orthodoxy and actuality in which there is not a separate form of God's Word in existence just as there is not another gospel of Christ. Truth in both reason and logic is truth, and actualized reality is actualized reality for universalism and Christianity are incompatible no matter how much humanism and self affirming humanistic altruism of the present age might seemingly wish to eradicate distinction between genders. For we know all paths do not lead to God as Jesus spoke in John 1:46. “Jesus saith unto him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” Old Testament concurrence to Jesus's assertion is found in Isaiah 45:21-23.

Through the transaction of the atonement, wherein one's sins, being unacceptable to a Holy God, is placed upon the the person of Jesus Christ upon the cross where by all humanity can be made clean and pure, and whereby the righteousness of Jesus Christ is conferred upon the recipient so that he or she may be a fellow partaker of Christs righteousness as a child of God. One is in their person an unimpeded vessel for the Holy Spirit. It is the inner workings of Holy Spirit moving within the individual which both imbues and perfects through sanctification the image of Jesus Christ which is imbued upon men and women believers. In so much, gender specifics is an irrelevant factor in one's state of salvation and sanctification, which are products of the inner working and indwelling of the Holy Spirit as one bears the metaphysical spiritual Image of God in the Last Adam, Jesus of Nazareth. In regards limited to the scope of salvation and sanctification, also in the attempted promotion of the concept of “representational worth” of an individual to a Holy God, and concerning how much God loves an individual person, one maintains relying upon a biblical basis for assertion that there is no such distinction in gender in Christianity in that particular scope and on that particular basis of one's physical body being designed in God's image. One supposes God's love is in the doing, and does he not leave the 99 other sheep to save the lost 1 or that the Father throws a feast at the prodigal son's return only & not at the observance of the faithful son? (Mathew 8:12-14, Luke 15:11-32)

God given authority in gender is the key issue, and the conforming of the world to anti-Christian modernist and postmodern notions is why so much of Christianity remains either tacitly silent or seemingly ineffectual concerning the truth of the Christian Image of God. As has been aforementioned, there is gender distinction within Christianity, certainly in terms of authority. Genesis, Numbers, Deuteronomy, Leviticus, the Psalms, and the New Testament of the Holy Bible are in accordance with one another in endowing authority to the Male gender of Humanity. Such authority is not imbued upon women as they being the “weaker vessels” are complimentary portion of humanity, and are in Godly accordance by natural and proper disposition (1 Peter 3:7) in Godly naturalness better suited to be led than to lead. The foundational constructs established in righteousness by God in creationist design are still in effect in the World. God given masculine imparting of authority in gender distinction in humanity is an ageless prime principle entrenched in the domesticating of the world from the beginning as noted in Genesis. The History of Man itself indicates that the facilitation of a habitable world and subsequently nature herself as an enduring and enacted restrained agency of God, will always need be maintained (save for select waning periods and finite spans of grace) under God's guidance in preference to masculine authoritative human dominion seemingly until the end of the world. (Isaiah 13:11-13,  Isaiah 59:16-18, & Isaiah 61:2)
