The 1st Commandment

There is only 1 supreme principal issue in the church & the world at large. There is 1 issue that supersedes all others. That problem issue is the 1st commandment.

This is what Charles Spurgeon had to say about the matter of "The First and Great Commandment". The excerpts as follows in italics from his 1848 sermon, a work of timeless wisdom effective as prelude to this essay even 2 centuries later.

" It is "the first commandment," ... This command, which deals with God the Almighty must ever take precedence of every other."

" Man's law thou mayest break, and bear the penalty; but if thou breakest this the penalty is too heavy for thy soul to endure; it will sink thee, man, it will sink thee like a mill-stone lower than the lowest hell. Take heed of this command above every other, to tremble at it and obey it, for it is "the first commandment." "

" And to him that violateth this law it shall be proven that it is a great command in the greatness of its condemning power, for it shall be like a great sword having two edges, wherewith God shall slay him. "

" ... if there be so many pretenders who injure the Lord's cause by their lying pretensions, so much the more reason why thou shouldst have the real thing and help to make the church sound and honest." But no, the merchants of our cities, the tradesmen of our streets, our artisans and our workmen, the great mass of them, live in total forgetfulness of God. I do not believe that the heart of England is infidel. I do not believe that there is any vast extent of deism or atheism throughout England: the great fault of our time is the fault of indifference; people do not care whether the thing is right or not. What is it to them? They never take the trouble to search between the different professors of religion to see where the truth dies; they do not think to pay their reverence to God with all their hearts. Oh, no; they forget what God demands, and so rob him of his due. To you, to you, great masses of the population, this law doth speak with iron tongue—"Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. "

" What hast thou to say to this command, O man? Have I one here so profoundly brainless as to reply, "I intend to keep it, and I believe I can perfectly obey it, and I think I can get to heaven by obedience to it?" Man, thou art either a fool, or else willfully ignorant; ... Some of you think you will go to heaven by your good works, do you? This is the first stone that you are to step upon—I am sure it is too high for your reach. You might as well try to climb to heaven by the mountains of earth, and take the Himalayas to be your first step; ... But remember, you can not be saved by your works, if you can not obey this entirely, perfectly, constantly, for ever.

"Well," says one, "I dare say if I try and obey it as well as I can, that will do." No, sir, it will not. God demands that you perfectly obey this, and if you do not perfectly obey it he will condemn you. ... Who, then can be saved by this law? Why, no one in the world. "

The fundamental problem the world has is not racism, the world's problem is not a collection of social justice issue for it is impossible but that offenses must come for Christ declared “Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; ...(Mathew 18:7) The world's fundamental problem is the issue which it has with its Creator, first and foremost in the 1st commandment.

So much for Social Justice being any thing other than a stunt of theme or anthem by the Queen of Babylon, as she attempts to establish collective world token legitimacy. As if what the Living God wanted first and foremost in this world is humanism enactment of social justice. Lately the most repetitive and visible enacted example I see of this behavior is through the week in week out cooperative knee bowing social justice antics of Briton's Premiere Football League in the Covid19 era. Thus, in every match the players partake in shamelessly propagating corruption the Word of God by implicit motif enactment of the Holy Bible where it was written, "I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear. Surely, shall [one] say, in the LORD have I righteousness and strength: [even] to him shall [men] come; and all that are incensed against him shall be ashamed. In the LORD shall all the seed of Israel be justified,” (Isaiah 45:23) But this is the typical chicanery present under the surface in so nearly every facet of the society today that has reached the fullness of iniquity in postmodernism, in Ichabod, “without honor”, in God has left us as a people.

Do you hear the echoes of God in Malachi? “A son honoureth his father, and a servant his master: if then I be a father, where is mine honour? And if I be a master, where is my fear?” (Malachi 1:6)

Do you hear the echoes of God in Isaiah? “For thou hast trusted in thy wickedness: thou hast said, None seeth me. Thy wisdom and thy knowledge, it hath perverted thee; and thou hast said in thine heart, I am, and none else beside me. Therefore shall evil come upon thee; thou shalt not know from whence it riseth: and mischief shall fall upon thee; thou shalt not be able to put if off: and desolation shall come upon thee suddenly, which thou shalt not know.”(Isaiah 47:10 - 11)

Do you hear the echoes of God in Jeremiah? “Destruction upon destruction is cried; for the whole land is spoiled: suddenly are my tents spoiled, and my curtains in a moment. … For my people is foolish, they have not known me; they are sottish children, and they have none understanding: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge. “ (Jeremiah 4:20-23)

Do you hear the echoes of God that reverberate throughout the annuls of history?

The World is set in the “Forms”, in the “Ideas”, in the Intelligible Realm. God “... hath set the world in their heart. …” ( Ecclesiastes 3:11) You will verify that Respond47's 2016 thoughts day are true concerning social outcasts and societal untouchables, because in an evil generation, the forms run in dreadful concordances. And the solution is not that humanity needs more humanism enactment. The governing “forms” of the world cannot be corrected by “humanism intervention”, nor by organizing of mere human “Unities” even in the current “Unity” craze of the world, because humanity itself is not the “cause of the forms”.

Solomon as the wisest man in the world said “I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and, behold, all is vanity and vexation of spirit. That which is crooked cannot be made straight: and that which is wanting cannot be numbered.” (Ecclesiastes 1:14-15) and “... the excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom giveth life to them that have it. Consider the work of God: for who can make that straight, which he hath made crooked? ” ( Ecclesiastes 7:12-13) Solomon concurs.

It is clear to see in the whirlwind that the world is at a precipice. The issue is the first commandment. Made possible by Christ's atonement, God's Salvation in a macro sense, in the sum total of actualized soul reality inheritance of all humanity reconciled to God, it sees its disappearance play out in the forms in abject entropy like a scrambled gigantic causality “rubix cube” of epic proportions, unable to change by any permutation a net sum effect in a return to order, and thus a net salvation maintenance or gain, as macroscopic salvation attainment in humanity is determent supremely by obedience to the 1st commandment. And where “the first commandment” is chiefly intended to be kept is in the church and is not! There is where the 1st commandment must be kept and should be expected to be kept above all else. Instead, it is in the present church that the 1st commandment is violated most egregiously of all. No, not just yesterday, but for some sixty years now. And that is the interlude to the Diamond Sin which I am introducing to you now and which pervades the world in this hour, and actuates as a prime driver powering all causality of condemnation to perpetual agency against the children of men before God.

That diamond sin is the maintained concept corruption the doctrine of the “Image of God”, thereby at odds with God's ever existent & unchanging plan for humanity, and thus at drastic odds with Christ. My estimation is of this hour, that 90% to 99% of the World organized Christian Protestantism is at drastic odds with the “Image of God” from the present academia of Halle-Wittenburg, Germany where by origins in Martin Luther reformation Protestantism took foothold of rising stature into the world to central Wyoming where present day Protestantism hangs in the balance now, reticently now upon oneself apparently. (Zechariah 12:8, Psalm 22:30, Isaiah 10:20, Isaiah 10:12-23, Revelation 3:21 and certain lyrics of a certain song “Teach Your Children Well” Crosby, Stills & Nash folk band, but all of that is quite an advanced christology in the ontological reverberation of the forms.)

To a majority or minority who have yet to commit the “unpardonable sin” prior to exposure to this exhortation, who are and were unawares this dreadful treachery by God's professed Protestant bride by biblical ignorance only, this warning ought jolt your very perception of what you thought was Christian in this world as presented to you, and your own faculties of what Christian World View actually is. But that is the fear of God that I think much of this world has lost as is the nature of the “children of men”. Wary reader, this piece ought ought leave you a single precept to weigh heavily upon your conscience, for it is well so for a coming generation their prospect of reaching eternal life, and in the interim of that obtainment, a meaningful life lived upon this world in the process whereby someone might actually be able to tell a generation with legitimacy to rather “vote” and not “vape” and the like of such other perceived “moral” practices and behaviors. That single precept is the fruition set to be in seen the violation of the 1st commandment of God. Take good note and measure reader, in ode to Spurgeon, violating the 1st commandment in doctrine of the Image of God, “IT will sink thee, O Nations, it will sink thee like a mill-stone lower than the lowest hell.
